Funeral Service Livestreaming
We offer funeral livestreaming services to help your family and friends, wherever they may be, to be part of the service for your loved one.
There are numerous reasons to have your loved one’s funeral live streamed, from venue size, to making sure that family and friends internationally (or even further-afield in the UK) are able to watch, to just having it available as a lasting memorial that you can review in months or years to come to help in your own grieving process or to show to children in years to come that might not remember.
We work with professional, cinema grade, cameras and equipment to deliver the very best stream that we can for your clients. We can utilise either a church or venues internet if they have it available, or we also have access to a mobile network router to use mobile masts to connect to the internet.
We are happy to work with either families individually, or with funeral directors to make everything as seemless as we can for yourself, and for those needing to connect.

*Livestreams will be available live during the event. If there are any issues during, all livestreams are recorded, as-is in Full HD, and we can make these available as soon as possible. This is rare, but we can never guarantee the internet connection at all venues unfortunately. Pro - Turnaround for final recorded version from is 2 days.
All packages also include audio cover, whether that is us working with the venue to use their local PA, or installing a basic system (up to 4 microphones) to make sure that everyone can hear, as well as see what is going on.
Recording
-
The Recording package includes a professionally edited Full HD video, with none of the limitations of live production.
By default, it includes 1 operator with two cameras - one fixed wide, and one tracking the events of the day. (This is the same as livestreaming standard)
This offering can be built out with our additional options below to fit your needs (and as always, we’re happy to advise.)
Upon completion, we can send the video in the most practical way for you, whether that is sending the video file, hosting privately or publicly on our YouTube channel or physically via a USB (additional cost.)
-
We can offer a 4K upgrade for £50.
4K is a much higher resolution than Full HD, and so will look sharper and higher quality on modern 4K tvs.
-
No problem!
For recording, we don’t need any kind of internet access on site.
-
We can deliver your final file in a variety of ways.
We can either deliver the file digitally on the Midstream YouTube channel - which allows anyone with the link to watch the video.
We can deliver the file as a digital download, where you can download the video file to your computer or phone and play back there.
Or we can send you a physical USB (additional £20) with the digital file - which can be played back on any computer, a tv with a USB port, or some phones.
Or any combination of these.
Livestream, Standard
-
This is our most common livestreaming package.
It includes one Operator with 2 cameras, one that will be fixed in a wide view and an operated camera that will follow whoever is speaking during the service. It is simple, but provides a great view of the service for those watching remotely.
We don’t offer recordings other than the livestream itself, which will be available on the platform after the service (although be aware, there can often be some processing time directly after the service before it becomes available.)
But we do always have a backup recording, which we will make available within 24 hours should there be any technical difficulties with the internet connection causing issues with the livestream.
-
We can still livestream if your venue doesn’t have internet available, via use of a 5G router (included in the package)
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee good internet access at every venue, we can always make an un-edited recording available within 24 hours should there be any technical issues.
-
In terms of livestreaming platforms, we can work with individual funeral directors to use their own Vimeo or YouTube accounts (we are also happy to discuss working with other options, depending on your needs.)
Alternatively, we can make use of our Midstream YouTube channel and unlisted streams (where the family can view via a link, but it won’t be available publicly on YouTube.) We will always keep funeral livestreams available in our account, so that family can watch these again after the service, if they aren’t able to watch in real time. (Although please do be aware, most platforms will process livestreams directly after it finishes and so it may take a couple of hours for it to be available. Please contact us if it is unavailable after 24 hours.)
In either case, we, usually via the funeral director, will make sure a link is available to be distributed to friends and family well in advance.
Livestream, Pro
-
Livestreaming pro is our more comprehensive package, with multiple team members.
It includes two Operators to run two tracking cameras to follow the events of the day, plus two fixed cameras (a wide, and potentially a fixed view of the lectern, or whatever the team feels is appropriate on the day.)
Following the service, we will make available a 4K quality recording that has been re-edited to make sure it can be as good as it can possibly be. We can either host this privately on our YouTube channel, with your funeral directors preferred account/platform, as a digital download or on a USB drive (one included with price, others are a £20 addon per drive, including P&P.) This will generally be available within 48 hours of the service, although please leave up to a week for shipping of any USBs.
-
We can still livestream if your venue doesn’t have internet available, via use of a 5G router (included in the package)
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee good internet access at every venue, we can always make an un-edited recording available within 12 hours should there be any technical issues.

Bespoke solutions
Our packages are designed to cover a wide range of standard livestreams, but we are aware that every person is unique, and just like them, sometimes you need a more unique solution.
Please do get in contact with us for anything else you may need, we have worked on funerals where we’ve worked with our partners to install a more comprehensive PA set up, or installed temporary projector or TV systems for powerpoints/videos (and ran this back to the livestream also) or set up a remote connection in a pub so that friends and family unable to be in the church were able to be involved together.
Whatever you need, contact us on nathan@midstream.live, or using the form below and we will aim to respond timely with a quote. (We often work with external partners for some of these items, and their pricing is outside of our control.)
